Make sure you are getting enough Vitamin D

Regardless of the weather, make sure you get out once in awhile to soak up the sunshine.

Vitamin D is important.

If the weather doesn't permit this, start a Vitamin D supplement if your vitamin D level is low.

If you are currently taking GLP (Ozempic/Mounjaro/Wegovy/Zepbound) you will still need a cognitive approach to your food intake. You will do better avoiding fats and carbohydrates and sticking to intakes of  protein and vegetables.  Listen to your brain.  Don't eat if you are not hungry and for sure don't overeat.

I totally agree with this article and I am totally guilty of not doing anything that they recommend: cross training; careful evaluation of total muscle status from an exercise expert; diligent warmups.....) Hence, I am constantly recovering from exercise induced injury.

Don't ignore your colon screening!

Colon cancer: a scary proposition. Unfortunately the incidence of colon cancer is increasing in younger age groups. Previously the recommendations for an initial screening colonoscopy was at age 50. The recommendation now is at age 45. There is also discussion that this might change to the age of 40. Heed these recommendations! If you are totally adverse to a colonoscopy, the Cologuard test is a more than reasonable option.

Running....No equipment needed; Not very time intensive; Great for both your mood, heart, lungs and skeletal system. Time to get out those old running shoes. Map a mile course and try to improve your time in the days to come..
