How often should you weigh yourself?

Posted by Charles Waisbren on April 27, 2016 at 4:26 PM

How often should you weigh yourself? We all know that by the time our clothes are too tight, we are in deep trouble. Regardless of the pain that it can cause, I recommend weighing yourself everyday. It should help things from getting excessively out of control...

High fat diets put you to sleep

Posted by Charles Waisbren on April 23, 2016 at 10:50 AM

Perhaps just a piece of wheat toast for breakfast, a salad for lunch and a fish/lean meat and vegetable dinner. Sounds easy to comply, huh?

Where are my car keys?

We CAN improve our brain function! A healthy lifestyle, aerobic exercise, meditation and brain training can all enhance our cognitive function. Keep this in mind while you are looking for where you put your car keys......

Get those nails taken care of!

Posted by Charles Waisbren on April 16, 2016 at 1:13 PM

Are your toe nails disgusting due to fungus? Do you go to sleep with socks on to hide them? It is time to get your nails taken care of. The topical solutions are far less efficacious.

Broken hearts....

"Broken hearts" are real...... but unless we bond, we just have emptiness. The benefits outweigh the health risks.

Have YOU had your screening colonoscopy yet?

Posted by Charles Waisbren on April 06, 2016 at 12:47 PM

Colon cancer: Precursors are those small colon polyps which hide out without symptoms in your bowels. Coffee consumption, exercise, daily aspirin intake and a diet rich in fruit and vegetables all decrease the risk of colon cancer. Regardless, have YOU had your screening colonoscopy at age 50?

Love leads to happier, healthier and longer lives. Stable relationships act as a buffer from life's inevitable stressors. Pretty intuitive.... Now what can we do with that information?......

Beating jet lag!

Posted by Charles Waisbren on March 23, 2016 at 5:42 PM

How to beat jet lag? Don't take sleeping pills. They just get your body totally out of wack. Don't eat those nasty snacks. For sure they will give you a belly ache. Sorry. No alcohol. You can't buzz out a long flight. Just relax and meditate. Solve world problems. Sleep when you are tired. Get up to walk around a bit. When you land, just "gut out' the day and you should be able to sleep when ever the real night begins. The next morning, you should be all set
