Weight gain and diabetes....

When we consistently overeat, our body needs to produce an excessive amount of insulin to put all the sugars into our cells. Eventually, the pancreas and the insulin receptors wear out. Hence type II diabetes develops. This is why I harp so much about weight and healthy BMIs..

How to sleep better

Trouble falling asleep is horrible. Work on a routine time that you go down to sleep; Stay away from alcohol (it gives a bad night's sleep); Put your IPad away; (You don't really need to order anything from Amazon); Don't watch a late night Packers or Bucks game (A Brewer game, though, might put you right to sleep); Keep your room nice and cool.

The myth about daily water intake consumption

I think that I am the expert on this.... Just drink when you are thirsty. I don't believe in the "eight glasses of water a day" for good health. I have seen more problems with patients pushing their water consumption than patients coming in dry from not drinking enough water.
