Ketogenic Diet: Simple and Effective

I am a "Keto" man. I believe that the Ketogenic Diet is simple and effective....Just NO CARBS... Some eggs and bacon for breakfast, some meat and vegetables for lunch and some more meat and vegetables for dinner. Throw in some exercise and surely enough your weight will fly off. Surprisingly, you will lose your cravings for carbohydrates; you will have a dramatically decreased appetite; you will have increased energy and you will develop a feeling of well-being. Number wise, your cholesterol and blood sugars will normalize, as will your blood pressure.

After controlling for smoking, diabetes, fasting glucose and cholesterol, researchers found that compared with people who slept seven to eight hours a night, those who slept less than six hours were 27 percent more likely to be in the highest one-third for the amount of plaque in their arteries. Hence, get to bed early! (I tell my wife this all the time....)

Artificial Sweeteners: Not Harmful....

I'm a calorie guy. I believe in no sugars. Of course, it is better just to skip all sweeteners but if you must...artificial sweeteners appear safe...

We indeed are learning from our parents' mistakes. Heart disease is on the decline because we are smoking less, have better control on our blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol and we are exercising more....
