We are getting healthier!

In the late 1960's, it was not uncommon to succumb to a heart attack when we entered our 50's. 40% of the population smoked, a cholesterol of 240 was considered normal and half of Americans had what we consider now hypertension. We are doing better today because we are concentrating on smoking cessation, controlling blood pressure, controlling cholesterol levels and keeping our blood sugars normal.
